“This restaurant is located in the Sultanamet area of Istanbul. Basking on the glory are Turkeys two most iconic wonders, the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. <br/><br/>We were on a day tour and the lunch was included in the itinerary. The tour operators brought us to Omar and the place had a lovely vibe. Since it was a set menu, we ordered both the Kebap as well as the chicken Tikka. Both came with rice, fries and some salad. The food was good and the service prompt. They have good choice in the menu as well as in the bar. Loved the ceiling and that is why I have added some pics that would be of interest.

“This delicious restaurant complete with stunning Turkish lamp installation ceiling is located right by two of Istanbul’s most iconic sights and as such made it the perfect lunch spot post a morning of touring. All the food here was wonderfully flavoursome but I did feel a bit unwell after, hubs was fine however and we did eat the same thing so perhaps that shouldn’t perturb you
